Job Description

The job purpose of the Assistant Manager Health Initiatives is to support the Deputy Manager/Manager Health Initiatives in working on technical documents for the conceptualization and successful implementation of Health Initiatives undertaken by the Company, including health insurance schemes/Universal Health Coverage.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager Health Initiatives in designing the health insurance model for PHIMC, developing its process flows, and designing implementation plans to execute health insurance for the identified beneficiaries.
  • Conceptualize and support the successful implementation of new Health Initiatives to be undertaken by the Company.
  • Coordinate with consultants and the program team in developing detailed guidelines for responsibilities at different government levels in implementing health initiatives.
  • Liaise and coordinate with relevant stakeholders (the Ministry of Health, other provincial health departments, insurance companies, actuarial experts, etc.) to facilitate dialogue and garner specialist input for the design, planning, and implementation of health initiatives.
  • Prepare presentations, documented submissions, concept briefs, reports, and other relevant materials for PHIMC Management regarding Health Initiatives.
  • Implement specific targets related to health initiatives’ product design and implementation plans, and take ownership of performance and outputs, including work plans complete with periodic targets and verifiable indicators for program progress and performance.
  • Develop concept notes on various models of contracting out, along with detailed analyses of their suitability to the local context, and provide recommendations on the most suitable health insurance model (or a mix of models) for local conditions.
  • Monitor and facilitate the resolution of disputes and complaints forwarded to PHIMC during the implementation of health insurance and other health initiatives.

Qualification:

16 years of formal education with a degree in Health Policy / Public Health / Health Economic / Economics / Health Planning / Health Administration / Anthropology / Business Administration / Public Administration from HEC recognized institute.

Experience:

Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply.  Experience in using statistical tools (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R, Python) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) will be considered as an advantage.
